FormRouter Upgrade Enables Offline Data
Entry For PDF Forms
Offline PDF forms can be retrieved, edited
and saved prior to electronic submission of completed forms
CARY, N.C. (March 30, 2004) FormRouter, Inc., announced
today new capabilities for FormRouter customers to collect
form data from offline users using Acrobat® Reader®
5.1 and higher. With the new technology, users can distribute
and circulate PDF forms to remote users for data entry, review
and validation. Form owners can quickly browse through completed
forms using integrated navigation or save work-in-process
to their local drive for future completion, submission and/or
data archival. Once completed, forms can be submitted electronically
and routed to the form owners desktop database using
the FormRouter service.
FormRouters new LocalSaveSM capability allows large
and small organizations to realize the benefits of secure
form routing even when they are not connected to the Internet.
The combination of FormRouter and Acrobat Reader has
made Internet hosted forms a cost effective reality that can
be realized in minutes with no programming, says Jim
Healy, chief technology officer for FormRouter. Unfortunately,
many people who need to collaborate and complete forms may
have limited Internet access. LocalSave extends the FormRouter
advantage to the offline world as well.
We conduct a wide variety of human factors surveys
and usability testing for clients such as Dell, Cisco and
Sony Erickson, says Laurie Gray, senior usability specialist
for HumanCentric Technologies. We see real value in
using Acrobat Reader and PDF forms to conduct offline surveys.
FormRouter has provided our team with the design and data
capture flexibility we require for several years now. They
have been responsive in listening to our requirements and
we believe the LocalSave upgrade is going to make us more
effective in conducting our surveys.
FormRouter LocalSave comes standard with the companys
newly introduced ProPack upgrade. With this new release,
our PDF customers can also leverage our new CRM integration
with salesforce.com and our secure payment processing with
VeriSign and Authorize.Net, says FormRouter CEO Chris
M. Pieper. Our customers can realize even more return
on investment - with no programming, no servers and no drain
on the companys IT resources.
