PDF417 2D Barcodes allow PDF forms that are
mailed or faxed in (often with hand written signatures) to
have data captured into a database with a hand held barcode
scanner.
Step 1:
Build a PDF form
Once a document is converted into a PDF,
it then can be edited in Adobe® Acrobat. FormRouter provides
live Internet based instruction and written documentation
with every account to get you up to speed.
Step 2:
2D Barcode enable the PDF form
When a form is 2D Barcode enabled, data
typed into form fields are merged into a PDF417 Barcode block
on the PDF document. FormRouter offers this as a service licensed
from Adobe.
Step 3:
Link the form to Websites, E-mails
After a form is uploaded into your FormRouter
account, a link is automatically generated. Links to forms
can be cut and pasted into E-mails or Websites.
Step 4:
Users fill out PDF forms online, print and sign
When the form is filled out, data typed
into the form is merged into a 2D barcode. Then the form may
be printed, hand sign and mailed or fax in.
Step 5:
Plug a CodeCorp CR2 USB scanner into your computer
FormRouter has partnered with CodeCorp to
support their CR2 hand held scanners to capture 2D barcode
data. Ask FormRouter about purchasing a scanner.
Step 6:
Scan Barcodes to capture responses into a database automatically
FormRouter’s client tool can automatically
capture form responses securely into database or MS Outlook.
When a CodeCorp scanner is connected to your computer, data
scanned from a 2D barcode is inserted into your database automatically.
This saves the error prone manual labor of hand keying data.
