Why PDF Forms Don't Work in IE, Chrome and Safari Web Browsers

For years, the Free Adobe Reader has worked well as a Web Browser plugin for PDF forms.

Not anymore.

Except for a properly configured version of IE 11, all the major Web browsers like Chrome, Safari and Firefox no longer support Reader as a Plugin.

What they do offer are built-in PDF viewers that don’t support PDF form functionality, settings, JavaScript or the ability to submit data.
To make things worse, the new versions of Adobe Reader on iPad does not support the ability to submit a PDF form.

Because the FormRouter team saw the death of PDF forms on the Web coming, we started to develop a tool to render PDF forms in all major Web Browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and IE) on all major devices (PCs, MACs, iPads, iPhones, Android Tablets and Phones).

We call it the PDF Form Viewer.
